This summer, Chabad of Boquete had the privilege of hosting its 5th group of Bochurim for an incredible and full Panama experience. Boys from the Bais Menachem Youth Development Program in Wilkes-Barre, PA, JETS in Los Angeles, CA and TAG in Fort Lauderdale, FL joined us for an unforgettable boys’ camp experience.
Led by head counselor Abru Lapidus and shluchim Zalman Rodkin and Mendel Zavdi, the campers spent close to a month immersed in adventure, learning, and connection.
Every day began with an early rise for jogging and training, followed by Chassidus, davening, and a full schedule of exploration. From whale watching to zip lining, island hopping, horseback riding, rappelling, hiking, whitewater rafting, and even climbing the towering Volcán Barú, the camp was filled with non-stop excitement.
The group also explored the Caribbean islands in Bocas del Toro and the bustling hub of Panama City, while enjoying most of the time in the warm hospitality of our brand-new Chabad House facilities in Panama’s highlands: Boquete. Of course, no trip to Boquete would be complete without the delicious meals from Morton’s Bakehouse (@mortonsbakehouse).
This unique combination of Torah, adventure, and friendship made the boys’ camp a life-changing experience—one we can’t wait to repeat next year.
We will announce registration for Summer 5786 —don’t miss the chance to join us in Panama!

“Big shoutout to Abru Lapidus, Zalman Rodkin, and Mendel Zavdi— truly the best trio! I wasn’t in camp myself, but just knowing these three, I can already tell the summer was incredible. Their energy, dedication, and positivity are second to none. Anyone who had them as staff was seriously lucky!”
