Israeli Minister of Transportation and Cabinet member Miri Regev arrived this morning directly from the airport to pray at the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens, New York.
Regev was joined by Moshe Ben Zaken, Director-General of the Transportation Ministry, Yigal Amadi, Chairman of the Board of Netivei Israel, Idan Moalem, Head of the National Public Transportation Authority, and additional officials.
They were welcomed by Rabbi Zalman and Batya Zvulunov, and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Wolowik of the Bukharian Jewish community and the Or Avner institutions in the United States.
The delegation wrote a Pan (personal prayer request), lit candles as is customary, and prayed for the wellbeing of the Jewish people and the Land of Israel, as well as for a good and sweet year.
After her prayers, Minister Regev shared a personal message to the Rebbe’s Shluchim around the world:
“I am here today on Rosh Chodesh Elul. Every time I come to New York, I make sure to come here—to thank, to ask, and to bless the Jewish people during these complex times.
This is the opportunity to say to all the Shluchos and Shluchim—thank you so much for your kindness, for opening your homes, and for your ability to look at every Jew and Israeli in the world with a good eye, whether they wear a kippah or not, opening the door and connecting them to the essence, to Torah.
I meet you everywhere I travel. Continue to do good and spread the light. May we merit better days. We are praying for the strength and protection of IDF soldiers.”

Hopefully Israel steps up their game with transportation because right now it’s not the greatest and very hard to navigate.
But after this visit, I am hopeful that many good things will come!!!
