In the quiet village of Kfar Chabad and warm summer air, a revolution is taking place. At Camp Gan Yisroel Bnei Hayeshivos, dozens of Bochurim from litvishe, Chassidish, sefardi yeshivos are given something rare, powerful, and life-changing: a taste of Tomchei Temimim.
Founded and led with heart and vision by Rabbi Moshe Blumberger and Rabbi Zalman Torenheim, the camp is more than a summer program. It’s a carefully crafted environment designed to give yeshiva bochurim their first true experience of limud haChassidus, darkei haChassidus, and most of all, the living embodiment of Chassidus: the Temimim themselves.
The Bochurim Who Become Role Models
While the mashpi’im, maggidei shiur, and staff are deeply dedicated and inspiring, the real stars of the camp are the Lubavitcher Temimim — the campers’ own age or even younger — who shine with chassidishe warmth, discipline, and purpose.
These Temimim learn with the Bochurim, daven alongside them, go on tiyulim, farbreng late into the night, and most importantly — they live what they learn. For many of the yeshiva bochurim, this is their first time seeing what a true bochur Tomim looks like up close.
“I’ve learned from great Roshei Yeshiva,” one camper shared, “but here I saw a 18-year-old bochur who davens like a chossid, speaks with emes, and lives for a shlichus. That hit me harder than anything else.”
“I always thought Chassidim were a world apart from me… Then I met a bochur just a year younger than me, who wakes up early, davens with real kavana, and learns Chassidus like it’s life itself. He didn’t preach — he just lived it. And I wanted to be like him.”
— Y.S., Chevron Yeshiva
Their humility, sincerity, and achdus make a deep impression — more than any shiur or speech could. It’s a glimpse of what they themselves could be. And for many, the spark is lit.
A Genuine Taste of Tomchei Temimim
Everything in the camp is designed to mirror the life of a Tomim, in an accessible, joyful, and empowering way. Bochurim are gently introduced to:
Learning Chassidus daily — in small, guided groups with discussion
Mivtza Tefillin — experiencing the Rebbe’s call in action
Farbrengens — heartfelt, raw conversations that stay with them for life
Chassidishe Hanhalah — who live and breathe the values they teach
It’s not a lecture — it’s a lived experience, with no pressure, only opportunity.
Gashmiyus B’Revach – Five-Star Experience
While the ruchniyus is rich and deep, the gashmiyus is equally abundant. Campers enjoy:
Five-star accommodations with comfort and style
Full-course meals and treats that make every day exciting
Epic trips and outings across Israel that build deep friendships and integration.
Sports, hikes, and creative programming that keep the energy alive
This balance — rich ruchniyus with joyous gashmiyus — allows the Bochurim to feel happy, secure, and open, ready to absorb everything the camp offers.
Lasting Impact Beyond the Summer
By the end of the summer, many campers are in touch with their chavrusas, learning Chassidus independently, or leading mivtzoim efforts in their own neighborhoods. Some continue learning with Temimim throughout the year. And some begin to envision their own journey into the world of Chassidus.
Because when a bochur sees someone like him — not a distant figure, but a peer — living with emes, with the Rebbe, with simcha and depth — he realizes that he can be that too.
Camp Gan Yisroel Bnei Hayeshivos doesn’t just teach Chassidus. It brings it to life. And the connection that is formed — through a smile, a farbrengen, a mivtza tefillin moment — is the kind of spark that lights up a lifetime
