A spiritual boost.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who is overseeing the multi-front battle Israel faces against its adversaries, received a meaningful gift this past week.
Katz hosted Rabbi Yosef Gutnick, the Australian entrepreneur known as the Rebbe’s Shliach for the Integrity of the Land of Israel, along with Samaria Council Head Yossi Dagan, in his office.
The three discussed the threats Israel faces from its Arab neighbors and the need to stand firm against ongoing international diplomatic pressure to concede land and establish a Palestinian state—even after the October 7 attacks.
During the half-hour meeting, Rabbi Gutnick presented Minister Katz with the book Make Peace, which details the Rebbe’s approach to protecting Israel’s sovereignty and ensuring the security of its people.
As a parting gift, Rabbi Gutnick gave Katz two dollar bills that he had received from the Rebbe, telling the minister that the blessings with which they were originally given were now transferred to him.
“He put the dollars immediately in his wallet,” Rabbi Gutnick reported, adding that Katz expressed how much he treasures them, calling them “very precious to him.”
