Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Kenig, the Shliach to the Moshav of Hoshaya, Israel, passed away on Friday, 16 Shevat, 5785.
He was 49 and passed away after battling a terrible illness.
He was the son of Rabbi Elazar Mordechai Kenig obm, from Nof HaGalil, Israel.
He was known as a warm and welcoming figure to everyone, a man of great kindness who always helped others and brought many closer to Torah and Yiddishkeit.
He authored and published the book Pasuk Li Pasukcha. For many years, he managed the bookstore at the central synagogue in Nof HaGalil and served as a Shamash at the same synagogue.
He leaves behind his wife, may she live long, and a large family with many children.
The funeral took place on Friday at the cemetery in the moshav of Hoshaya, where he was buried.
The family will observe Shiva at the home of the Kenig family in Nof HaGalil, at 10 Savyon St., Apt. 17, Nof HaGalil.
