Workshop Inspires Renewed 12 Pesukim Movement

It was a session that had mechanchim buzzing long after it ended, lighting up the mechachim chats and sparking conversations across the world of chinuch.

The question posed was simple: What happens when a teacher faces serious challenges in chinuch, knowing their talmidim are dealing with real difficulties?

The answer came from a place both surprising and deeply familiar: something the Rebbe taught fifty years ago.

This year marks 50 years since the Rebbe launched Mivtza Chinuch. In a powerful session, Rabbi Hertzel Pevzner and Rabbi Shmuly Avtzon demonstrated how the 12 Pesukim, introduced by the Rebbe as a new language of chinuch, hold the keys to today’s educational struggles.

Framed not only for children, but also as guiding principles for parents and mechanchim, these Pesukim offer timeless tools for instilling Yiras Shamayim and a clarity in education.
A short clip from the session has already gone viral among mechanchim, and many are asking for follow-up sessions and farbrengens.

Organizers announced that after Tishrei, a year-long program partnering with Sichos in English, will be launched, to make a shturem around this milestone year, bringing fresh depth to the Rebbe’s vision of chinuch. The program will feature top mechanchim, including Rabbi Pevzner, Rabbi Shmuly Avtzon, and Rabbi Shais Taub, exploring the relevance of the 12 Pesukim as the 12 principles of education for children today.

In addition, an upcoming women’s event will be launched iy”H, ensuring this conversation reaches every corner of the chinuch community.
