Throughout the school year, dedicated teachers are still devoting their time after hours to continue honing their skills and improving their classrooms.
Enter cutting edge webinar technology, and the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) is there to offer learning opportunities for mechanchim and mechanchos around the world.
Close to 100 educators have already signed up for webinars this year, with an enthusiastic teacher attesting, “I feel like I’m being flooded with great ideas!”
“Skills Your Students Need, and How to Teach Them Well” is a series running monthly from Kislev through Iyar. With one skill set being covered each month, this series is running separately for men and women, with another run being planned for Europe and Asia.
Presenters include Dr. Sara Rosenfeld, Mrs. Chanah Rose, Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum and Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum.
The Virtual Teachers’ Lounge offers online networking with other teachers on a particular topic, with a star teacher in the lead.
As one teacher said, “I enjoyed the fact that everyone was able to share whatever works for them, so we could get different ideas.”
Morah Baily Vail kicked off the series with a discussion on Kriah, with upcoming sessions including “Keeping the Kedusha in the Classroom” with Rabbi Avraham Granat, and “Skills for High School” with Morah Chaya Zirkind.
Teachers’ Lounge is being offered to teacher free of charge. The “Teaching Skills” series comes with handouts and resources ready for your classroom, and with a generous grant from Mrs. Shoshana Brenenson and the Brenenson Law Group, teachers can sign up for full series at a package discount until Hei Teves.
(Mechanchos who take advantage will get a video recording of the first session which already took place.) These and other upcoming sessions can be viewed at mymef.org/events.
“Whenever MEF offers a course, I grab it,” says Toronto mechaneches Mrs. Chavy Rappaport. “Regardless of your level of expertise, there is always so much to gain and new insights being offered. This is for anyone who really wants to reach the children of today and make learning exciting.”

Kriah session with Morah Bailey Vail was fantastic. Many amazing ideas that I right away started to implement in my teaching with great success! Thank you MEF!
Thank you for offering such relevant and amazing programs,
