The Yankowitz family is facing an unimaginable reality.
Just a few weeks ago in Israel, Chaim Yankowitz passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest. He went to sleep and never woke up.
In one instant, three children lost their father—the man who was their support system, their strength, and their constant source of warmth and encouragement.
Chaim was known as a kind and humble person who quietly gave of himself to others. As a devoted volunteer with United Hatzalah, he was always ready to help, never seeking recognition. Those who knew him speak of a man who lived with optimism, always seeing the good in everything.
Now, his children are left to navigate life without him.
How will they celebrate the youngest son’s upcoming bar mitzvah? How will they face holidays without the father who filled their home with joy? And as they grow older, who will stand beside them at their weddings?
This is not just their question. It’s ours.
Will they be left to struggle alone, trying to get by with the bare minimum? Or will we, as a community, step in and make sure they can continue forward with dignity and stability?
A heartfelt call has been issued by rabbinic leaders, urging everyone to come together and give generously, with a true sense of responsibility for one another.
Chaim lived a life full of meaning, positivity, and goodness. Now it’s up to us to ensure his children can continue to live that kind of life—a life filled with joy, a life without constant worry, and a life where they are not missing what they need.
We are reminded of a timeless promise: if you bring joy to others, joy will come to you.
Let’s not stand on the sidelines. Be part of securing their future. Support the fund and help this family rebuild with strength and dignity.
