Energy industrialist and millionaire businessperson Guma Aguiar, a donor to Chabad activities in Florida and other locations, is crediting the Shluchim with helping him overcome recent health difficulties.
Speaking to COL.org.il from his home in Jerusalem, he pointed to a black and white photo of the Rebbe from the early years as his “favorite photo” with the Rebbe’s eyes penetrating his living room.
“It’s an honor to be involved in projects I know the Rebbe was proud of,” he said about donating to Chabad institutions in Ft. Lauderdale, Bal Harbour and more.
Seen at this past Kinus Hashluchim in Brooklyn, he said he was “spending a lot of time over the last 12 months with my very close rabbis from Chabad in South Florida.”
“In what area did the Rebbe not affect my life?” he asked rhetorically. “He is the single most important person that is affecting my life.”
