Sweden Preps for Young Shluchim Winter Camps

Great news for kids of Shluchim in Europe: Tzeirei Hashluchim in Sweden is gearing up for 2 separate winter camps – for boys and girls.

After over 100 campers attended the two Tzeirei Hashluchim camps in Sweden this summer, many of the kids started counting down time until winter camp.
Many Shluchim live in isolated locations around Europe, without access to frum schools. Camp provides the chance for kids to form friendships that they will treasure throughout their lives.

Gan Yisroel for European Tzeirei Hashluchim in Sweden began over 10 years ago in 5769, as a project of Chabad of Sweden and MyShliach, with the encouragement and support of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos. Since its inception, hundreds of campers have attended from dozens of cities around Europe and beyond, returning home glowing with a renewed chayus in Shlichus, hiskashrus to the Rebbe and friendship.

“Camp is an important part of a Chassidishe chinuch, ” says Rabbi Alexander Namdar, who directs the camp with his wife Leah. ” The greatest asset is our staff, who are dedicated, warm, caring and full of chayus.”

The wintercamp activities include farbrengens, shiurim, games, ice skating, water palace swimming, night activities, trips, drama, fireside singing, exciting activities and more.

“It’s a real family atmosphere in camp. Just hearing the laughter of kids having a great time, enjoying fun with their friends, davening, farbrenging, singing is so heartwarming. It’s BH a really amazing group of kids, raised by parents who are devoted to the chinuch of their children, from all kinds of Shlichus locations around Europe,” says Leah Namdar. “We hope that the chayus will beezras Hashem continue long after camp has ended, beezras Hashem.
