Mrs. Shoshana Raizel Pevzner, a former Bais Rivka teacher and wife of Reb Yitzchok Shlomo Pevzner obm, passed away on Tuesday, Iyar 20, 5774.
She was 81.
Mrs. Pevzner was the wife of Reb Yitzchok Shlomo Pevzner obm, son of the well known Chosid Reb Avrohom Boruch Pevzner obm.
Mrs. Pevzner was a teacher in Bais Rivkah in Crown Heights for many years, teaching Hebrew language to generations of students.
In recent years she lived in Beitar, Israel. The funeral will take place in Israel.
She is survived by her son, Avrohom Boruch Pevzner – Beitar, Israel; Sholom Pevzner – Crown Heights; Shneur Zalman Pevzner – Migdal Haemek, Israel; Rivka Cohn – Washington Heights, NY; and Mrs. Yehudis Kravitsky – Crown Heights.
She is also survived by her siblings Shmuel Hurwitz – Crown Heights, Avraham Hurwitz – Flatbush, Harav Yitzchok Hurwitz, Harav Eliyohu Hurwitz, Yisrael Hurwitz, Aharon Hurwitz and Esther Rosenberg – Israel.
Mrs. Yehudis Kravitsky will be sitting Shiva at her home, 555 Crown St. apt 1-b until 3:30pm Tuesday, May 20, then will join her family in Beitar.
Shmuel Hurwitz of Crown Heights and Avraham Hurwitz of Flatbush are sitting Shiva at 700 Montgomery Street.
Shacharis is at 7.30AM
Mincha is at 8PM
Maariv is at 9 PM

Morah Pevzner was so an amazing and lechtigeh teacher in Seminary. Even after 25 years I still remember her walking into class and closing the door and starting to teach! May her family find comfort in knowing what a legacy of admiring students she has brought into thus world!

What a special lady. So friendly and nice. Always stopped to say hello and talk to me, when she lived in crownheights.The family should only know of simchos.
