“For the Possuk of Yismach the Banon Family in Morroco will recite it, and the Greenberg Family of Bonita Springs, Florida will answer.”
On Sunday, Yaldei HaShluchim joined together from all over the world for the Great Parade Online.
The chayus that was felt from that parade was tangible. For children of shluchim who didn’t have the privilege of attending the Great Parade in Crown Heights here was a chance to try and see what it was it like.
Rabbi Shea Hecht began the parade by welcoming everyone from all around the world and really putting everyone in to the spirit of Lag B’omer. Coming straight from Easter Parkway’s Great Parade he told the children, “This is the real international great parade.”
As always there were terrific floats that the shluchim worked so hard to prepare, featuring a tefillin cake, shabbos candles that were really ‘alive’!, a beautiful kashrus float, mezuzah and much more. A big thank you to all the families who made a float!
As a special treat in this year’s Lag B’omer parade we were privileged to be entertained by Shliach Mendel Rosenblum from Brussels, Belgium who treated us to an incredible juggling show. Later on in the program the children watched an amazing puppet show by young shliach Yehoshua Greenberg from Bonita Springs, Florida. Yehoshua acted out the whole story of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and even built a cave for the puppets to hide in. Such incredible talent!! Thank you Yehoshua and Mendel!
An email we received following the parade summed up what Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim does for over 4000 children of Shluchim; gives them a new chayus to continue their Shluchos and affect yiddishe neshamos worldwide.
A big thank you to everyone at the Shluchim Office who made this year’s parade such a great success.
