R’ Yakov Steinhauser, a beloved father and grandfather from Crown Heights, passed away on the second day of Pesach, 5784.
He was 76.
Yakov came to Chabad when he was 8 years old with his two brothers, and was a student at Lubavitcher Yeshiva on Bedford and Dean.
He was a regular at Frankel Shul in Crown Heights where he served as a longtime Baal Koreh.
He is survived by his wife Lea Steinhauser and Children: Zev Steinhauser – Crown Heights, Chaya Rivka Levine – Teaneck, NJ, Bluma Steinhauser- Boro Park, Chana Adler – Crown Heights, Basha Sandhaus – Crown Heights, Miriam Steinhauser– Miami, Eli Steinhauser– Fair Lawn, NJ, Menucha Pruss – Hackensack, NJ, and Dovid Steinhauser– Crown Heights.
He is survived by his younger brother Meir Steinhauser of Israel. He was predeceased by his brother Chaim Steinhauser.
The levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, passing by 770 at 1:00 pm, burial at Montefiore Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
