Rabbi Avi Richler, Chabad Shliach in Gloucester County, NJ, accompanied New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli on a trip to Israel that included meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top leaders.
The delegation met with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Minister Ron Dermer, and various officials to discuss strengthening NJ-Israel ties. Stops on the itinerary included the Kotel, Yad Vashem, and the Nova Festival site of October 7.
Rabbi Richler shared: “Blessed to be a part of these efforts.”
Ciattarelli wrote about the purpose of the trip, emphasizing New Jersey’s economic potential:
“As Governor, one of my primary objectives is to grow New Jersey’s economy. We’ll do that by lowering taxes for individuals and businesses and eliminating unnecessary regulations. That alone, however, will not get the job done. We need to better market New Jersey across the globe to attract and capture more foreign investment.
During my Israel trip, in meetings with political leaders and a wide variety of business leaders, I laid the groundwork for increasing bilateral trade and attracting the kind of capital investment that will grow our economy and, in so doing, create more jobs in New Jersey.
Of course, throughout the trip, I also got to experience and enjoy the beauty of this critical American ally and its people.”
