With all eyes on the unrest in the Middle East, ABC 9 TV turned to Rabbi Yossie Shemtov, Head Chabad Shliach in Tucson, Arizona, for his thoughts of the fall of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
“We always have to know that whenever there is a major event, there is a major change, we always have to expect that it could be very, very good,” Rabbi Shemtov told the reporter.
Although many worry of a democratic rise of the Muslim Brotherhood or other radical group, the rabbi said he is optimistically hopeful.
“We don’t have to go back too much in history, but we are able to see within the context of just one century how a government fell and it became terrible, and a government fell and became good.”
