Chabad of the West Side mourns the loss of our friend David Mitchell Weiss, Dovid ben Yitzchok Halevi. He was 59.
He has resided on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for the past 3 years, and formerly lived in Florida.
We urgently request that his surviving sister in Crown Heights contact us at 212.864.5010 or [email protected] in order to facilitate his burial.
He is also survived by his daughter in Paris, France.
Any leads on locating the sister or daughter will be appreciated as well, as David did not leave any information on how to contact them.
He was buried in Liberty, NY. We are hopeful that relatives will come forward at some point.

May H-shem speedily put his neshama to rest.
We now know that he lived in Sunrise, FL for a number of years, and before that in upstate NY and BEFORE that in Massachusetts. He lived near his mother whose name was Ruth Leibowitz Weiss, who passed away a couple of years ago. If anyone knows anyone in Crown Heights with a maiden name of Weiss and is a Baalas Teshuva from about thirty years ago, please contact them and ask them if they had a brother named David. They will not release the body for burial until we find the next of kin. And no,we don’t have a… Read more »
