The letter was part of a series purchased by a Shliach. “This is the first of a series of letters that the Rebbe wrote that saved this individual from committing suicide,” he told COLlive.com.
This letter is publicized in the zechus of the neshoma of Reb Yosef Benyomin ben Reb Manashe z'”l.
B”H To #7; I will comment, not-withstanding the fact that you assume that you are in a position to critique the Rebbe’s words and improve them. Without utilizing any Ruach Hakodesh, the Rebbe was in receipt of the persons detailed letter(s). Together with his vast knowledge and experience, he knew exactly what therapy to prescribe to cure the individuals emotional ills. With his Ruach Hakodesh, it behooves us to treat the Rebbe’s words as coming directly from the “Oorim V’tumim”. Instead of a critique, we must each of us endeavor to utilize this newfound advice in our own lives, in… Read more »
b’h Yes, indeed, the Rebbe’s English letters have tremendous impact – to the extent of saving a life! as you have shown from this amazing letter. Is so inspirational !!!

If this 19 year old could break through his problems through this letter, then obviously we can overcome our challenges
Thank you for sharing
We must respect and trust the strongly worded letter from the Rebbe. However, one can’t help wondering what made the young person change her/ his mind ? What circumstances led to this letter and what was the writer’s background? If only it would be so simple many more people would still be here today.
How far have we fallen that today it is unheard of to speak such direct truth to a youth in pain?
To tell a emotionally distraught person “get up and do something for society!” and that will help you heal?
May all klal Yisroel receive true healing for all our pain and illnesses; physical, emotional and spiritual.
Thank you for sharing. ..please post this type of personal Rebbe correspondence often
This letter will save more lives
