A 26-year-old Chassidic Chabad soldier serving in Israeli military intelligence has been awarded the prestigious President’s Award of Excellence by President Isaac Herzog.
The soldier, whose identity remains classified due to his sensitive role in the Intelligence Directorate, received the recognition at an official ceremony attended by IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.
It was cleared for publication that the young man grew up across multiple countries before making aliyah to Israel at age 15 through the Naale Program, driven by a strong desire to build his life in the Jewish homeland.
According to an official statement, after realizing he would not be able to serve in a combat role, he chose to contribute in a specialized capacity within military intelligence. There, he distinguished himself through exceptional dedication, persistence, and diligence, earning high regard from his commanders.
Alongside his significant military service, he is a husband and father, and continued his contributions throughout the war with a deep sense of mission and responsibility.
In recognition of his service and commitment, he was selected to receive the President’s Award of Excellence, one of the highest honors granted to outstanding soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces.
