This June, take charge of your life and well-being at the Crown Heights Health Expo. The brainchild of physical therapist and fitness coach, Chaim Backman, the Expo will feature over 40 vendors from across the world of health and healing.
For one night only, a diverse group of creative individuals will be coming together and sharing their passion about living and their experiences on the path toward physical and emotional well-being.
“Explore, engage, and educate yourself on issues spanning medical-legal advice to nutritional counseling and holistic bodywork,” says Backman. “Whether young or simply young at heart, this expo will be an enlightening experience for all ages.”
“Spelt Right”, a family company created by Beth George in 2007, will be there to present delicious, nutrient-rich bagels and breads.
George was inspired to bake foods using organic, non-GMO spelt after her own son exhibited signs of wheat intolerance. In the years since, “Spelt Right” has expanded into the kosher market, setting up shop here in Brooklyn.
Local baker Devorah Nelkin, describes the breads as “high in the proper nutrients for a healthy diet” without compromising on taste.
After a little nourishment at “Spelt Right”, participants can then head over to “Solomon and Samson,” where Yossi Shain will “feed your brain.” Literally.
His revolutionary nutritional supplement provides a concentrated blend of vitamins and minerals which aid in mental function. Motivated by their work in special education, the creators of “Solomon and Samson” strove to craft something that would improve clarity and focus. Formulated without caffeine or harmful additives, this blend is customizable for both children and adults.
If it’s nutritional guidance you seek, you will be able to meet with the staff from Sunshine Pharmacy of Crown Heights.
More than a simple drug store, Sunshine offers visitors a holistic experience, with trained professionals providing information about vitamin, dietary, and herbal substitutions for many common medications. Their pharmacists are also knowledgeable in herb-drug combining, and will actually take the time amidst the hustle and bustle of the city to address your individual questions and needs.
You can also look forward to receiving information in medical-legal matters pertaining to Elder and Family law. Established in 1966, Charles Goldfarb and Associates specialize in healthcare related issues, wills, trusts, and estate planning.
Representatives from the Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation will also be present. This Glatt kosher sub-acute rehab center provides both short term and long-term care in a warm, homelike environment, and is the only sub-acute center in Brooklyn to offer cardiac rehabilitation.
And back for the second year at the Expo, are the NYS licensed craniosacral and massage therapists, Rochel Leah and Chaya Batsheva Shapiro. With a growing practice centered in the heart of Crown Heights, the dynamic duo is showing their clients results that have wowed alternative health believers and skeptics alike.
Be sure to stop by their table, and that of every one of their fellow health adventurers, to discover what each one of them has to offer you on your journey toward perfect happiness, health and well-being.
