On Thursday after Pesach, the Manchester Community came together in a beautiful display of unity, celebration and joy, to honor the completion of a sefer Torah written in loving memory of Mrs. Michal Blesofsky obm.
Mrs. Blesofsky lived for teaching Torah in the Rebbe’s ways. The family greatly appreciates all good deeds and Torah study in her merit.
The ceremony began with the writing of the final letters at Khal Chassidim Lubavitch, and continued with a joyous procession of dancing and live music. Traffic was held up on a busy intersection as the community continued dancing with the Torah all the way to Bais Menachem to continue with the traditional Hakofos.
Freinds and neighbors came together with so much care and support. Older Rabbanim, young yeshiva bochurim, busy housewives and families with young children, many were just visiting family for Pesach, all joined in the festivities, not feeling the lateness of the hour. In Manchester, the spirit of Chassidim Ein Mishpacha, was strongly felt.
Anyone who wishes to be a part of this Sefer Torah should send their contribution to Blesofsky family, 1405 president St. Brooklyn, NY 11213.
