The Jewish community in Crown Heights and the guests that spend the Tishrei month with them are about to mark 40 years of the kidushei raba and massive food distributions organized by R’ Nachum Markowitz – with a twist.
The Kidushei Raba’s “Ruby Anniversary” will be different. Food and drink are all served in individual pre-portioned packages with meat, mezonos rolls, Mezza salads, and condiments prepared by Prime Nosh, a Glatt Kosher USDA certified facility.
In addition to marking four decades of a beloved and widely enjoyed project, this year’s program celebrates the recovery of its principal sponsor, Harav Hagaon Rabbi Yitzchok Raitport.
Rabbi and Rebbetzin Raitport have been the main sponsor of the initiative in honor of the Yartzeit of their son Shalom Dovber who passed away on Simchas Torah morning 5761 following his return from Tahalucha.
The Kidushim were founded with the blessing and encouragement of the Rebbe. Supporters, including Crown Heights philanthropists Yerachmiel and Rivkah Leah Jacobson have reported experiencing tremendous blessings by supporting the Kidushim.
