He is survived by his wife Baila and his children, Sara Gutnick (Melbourne, Australia), Chanie Apfelbaum (Crown Heights), Mendy Halberstam (Hollywood Lakes, Florida) and Shea Halberstam (Cleveland, Ohio), and grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Ruchama Stern, Rabbi Chaim Boruch Halberstam, Rabbi Shmuel Halberstam, Dina Fried, Malki Hagar, and Chana Halberstam.
His children will be sitting Shiva at 916 Lincoln Place.
