An explosion erupted shortly before 11:00 PM Sunday night inside a private home at 616 Empire Boulevard, between Kingston and Albany Avenues in Crown Heights.
The blast, which appeared to come from the basement of the residence, caused serious damage to the property but miraculously resulted in no injuries.
Emergency teams from the FDNY, NYPD, Hatzalah, Shmira, and Shomrim all rushed to the scene.
After a thorough search, firefighters confirmed that the building had been cleared and no occupants were trapped inside.
The loud explosion drew neighbors from their homes, who watched anxiously as emergency crews worked.
Many expressed their gratitude that despite the frightening incident, no one was harmed.

I wish all the homes there would get a safety inspection for their basement gas connections. The houses are old and some pipes/gas faucets are antiquated. Just to be on the safe side: Chaverim could do it (if you don’t want City Agencies involved). Safety first! K’sima etc.
Every few year you have to have a gas inspection otherwise the city turns off your gas
