On Monday, 20 Adar, sixty shluchim and forty shluchos from across the US and around the world will be leading 800 Balei Batim on a joint eight-day trip to Israel. For the seventh time since 2008, The Land and Spirit has been organized by The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) as an experiential learning expedition about the history and centrality of the Holy Land and its relevance to every Jew today.
The group will explore biblical sites, brave communities on Israel’s borders, Temple-era excavations, and breathtaking natural sites. They will hear from Israel’s Chief Rabbis, political influencers, dynamic teachers, and business leaders.
For many, like Ellen from Long Island, it is a natural progression in their recent spiritual journey. “The more I learned about the wisdom of the ages, of Torah and Judaism, and how to make the practical application to my life, the more I want to connect with my roots. To walk in the footsteps of my ancestors and the generational wisdom there,” she said.
