A couple of hundred of Lubavitchers in Montreal braved the aftermath of a snowstorm on Motzoei Shabbos for a special Yud Shvat farbrengen with guest speaker Rabbi Yitzchok Schochet.
Rabbi Schochet, rabbi of Mill Hill Synagogue in London, is the longest-serving Rabbi in the United Synagogue and was named as one of the ten most influential Rabbis in the United Kingdom.
In his remarks, Rabbi Schochet regaled the crowd with a timely message of “seventy years on – where to from here?” He also shared some previously untold stories of the Rebbe.
Throughout Shabbos, Rabbi Schochet was a guest speaker at Montreal Torah Centre (MTC), under the auspices of Rabbi Moshe New.
Hundreds enjoyed a full program that included a Friday night dinner, Shabbos lunch and other lectures throughout the day with topics including “The Rebbe’s Enduring Legacy” and “The Real Secret of Chabad.”
I was at MTC. It was outstanding.
And the Rabbis there are amazing too.
