Mayor Eric Adams‘ Jewish Advisory Council invites the community to a hate crimes summit hosted at the Jewish Children’s Museum in Crown Heights.
The event will feature city, state, and federal agencies who will discuss issues pertaining to the safety and security of the Jewish community, and what is being done to prevent and investigate hate crime incidents.
The City’s first ever Jewish Advisory Council focuses on all issues affecting Jewish New Yorkers, including public safety, quality of life, and education, and ensures Jewish communities across New York City are connected with all of the city’s resources and services available. Chaired by Joel Eisdorfer, senior advisor to Mayor Adams, the council is comprised of 37 members and convenes regularly to discuss issues affecting the city’s Jewish community.
The event will be open to the general public and will take place Tuesday, October 24th, doors open at 5:00PM, program starts at 5:30PM. At the Jewish Children’s Museum, 792 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, New York.
“As the Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Hate Crimes, I am reminding all Crown Heights residents – in light of what is going on in Israel and around the world, it is imperative that the community attend this event. Even if due to personal obligations you come late, please make sure to attend,” Devorah Halberstam said. “It will be a time for you to ask questions about your personal security and the security of our community and Klal Yisroel. The panel will include the highest levels of our Government from city, state, and federal entities. There should be standing room only,” Halberstam said.

And thank you also for announcing this in advance of the event because we need a very big turnout. This allows people to arrange to be able to attend – altho unfortunately 5:30 pm is not great for women with children.
or working men don’t get home till 630
Disastrous timing. How are moms or the working class supposed to be at a summit at 5:30 pm?!
Are the politicians from the sukkah going to be there?
Might be worth it to invest in a babysitter and/or take off work.
