A special gathering was held on Monday night at the Kotel in Jerusalem, where a delegation of Chabad Shluchim from around the world dedicated their prayers and support for the people of Israel.
The rabbis have traveled from the United States, Canada, and Australia to bring the good wishes and support of their Jewish communities to the holy land at a time of war.
In the Diaspora, many watched in horror that Israel was under attack by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and is now being threatened by Hezbollah terrorists in the north as well.
The gathering of the Shluchim was dedicated to the release of all hostages, the well-being and success of the IDF soldiers and fighters, and the safety and peace of Jews everywhere.
They were joined by Israel’s Chief Rabbi David Lau, Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, Rabbi Yirmiyahu Cohen, Dayan of Belz, and former Av Beis Din of Paris, France.
Together, they recited Tehillim (Psalms) for the healing of all the injured, Yizkor (memorial prayers) for all the victims, and a Mi Sheberach for the fighters and the hostages.
Rabbi Lau said he joined the prayer coming from Israel’s south and he said he had met people of all backgrounds who were determined to protect the land and win the war.
Rabbi Moshe Bryski, Director of Chabad in the Conejo of California, said: “We are here to deliver a message and to take back a message: we’re one family. We feel your pain and we cry along with you.”
Addressing those on the battle front, he said: “To our Maccabees, those who are fighting for our people they represent every Jewish family on earth, their mission is a holy mission: G-d should watch over them and each one should come home safely without any injuries.”
The gathering included some Shluchim from Israel and the delegation sang in unison, joining in a heartfelt ‘Ani Maamin’ and then a hopeful ‘Hoshea Es Amecha.”

A beautiful show of unity but why was the Rebbe’s directives regarding Pikuach Nefesh not conveyed, specifically that not one inch of land should be compromised or returned, and no concessions be made to the enemy. The Rebbe didn’t stop crying out throughout his nesius that this should be the position of the Israeli government. Shluchim of the Rebbe, you are supposed to deliver his message, you are his messengers. Be specific, don’t be vague!
