The children not attending these schools?
Is that right to prioritize children because of the school they attend? Or their geographical location?
Schools have an OBLIGATION to put their own students first. Being that this is organized by the schools, they have to prioritize the placement of their talmidim. They will also accept others, but their own comes first. עניין עירך קודם
If they would allow all the other students the equal priority, they would not be fulfilling their responsibility to their own students. I hope this explains it well
Yossi has always been driven by a deep sense of purpose rather than personal gain. He’s not in it for fame—he actively avoids the spotlight. It’s certainly not about money; I hear he’s a successful entrepreneur in his own right. And kavod? That’s never been his motivation. I’ve known Yossi since our elementary school days, and even back then, he was always looking for ways to uplift and support the community. His contributions are remarkable—he expanded Lubavitch Yeshiva on Crown, grew Oholei Torah, established a COVID camp when it was most needed, and undoubtedly accomplished so much more behind the… Read more »
Yossi Langsam doesn’t seek fame or recognition—he’s all about action and results. Whether expanding schools or stepping up in tough times, you can always count on the Langsams to get the job done.
Thanks for the Q&A you earned my vote of confidence
Chk or lamed k?
No one addressed that
If yes 1 or 2?
Check their website it says 2
Why didn’t they join?
It’s more the Parksville crowd
Mark my words it starts with camp but it will not end with camp.
In a couple of years watch these schools make summer vacation only 6 weeks.
(I’m not saying it’s A bad thing)
By then this camp is no longer a suggestion but an obligation.
Not going to happen
I think within the next 7 years camp will be down 4 weeks for the boys. And 8 weeks for the girls.
Best Rebbi in Lubavitch! Really cares for each Talmid and wonderful MC. CGI chayolei is lucky they snagged him.
To have a seasoned mechanech on staff is such a great (but not new) idea. Parksville and YKP are doing it for years!
They did not answer if they have staff and which yeshivas they are from. This is a key element.
Allowing children two months in a frum Chassidish environment, free from school control, fosters independence and personal growth. Efforts by schools to oversee camp environments represent unnecessary overreach. A bit of freedom outside structured systems will only benefit their development.
Can you please post the summary of what was discussed, For those they don’t have time to watch the whole video.
Thank you so much
I’ve been hoping and praying for this since I started sending my kids the camp. absolutely amazing
Was anything mentioned about the discount for shluchim who send kids to the schools Endorsing this project?
Do you think the ultimate goal is to have the other camps lower their prices?
I’ve spoken to the directors they are already charging rock bottom so I’m not sure what the plan here is.
The best thing that ever happened to any camp or Yeshivah
Wow, this sounds amazing! It’s so inspiring to see Yeshivos coming together to prioritize both affordability and quality in chinuch for the summer months. Those camp upgrades sound incredible—new bunkhouses and even a mikvah? This is exactly what our kids need. Kudos to all involved!
Interesting concept. I’m not sure how much of a difference this collaboration will really make, but it seems like a step in the right direction. I’ll wait to hear feedback from parents after this summer before forming a solid opinion.
I have to say, the focus on the facilities—bunkhouses, gyms, and canteens—is nice, but are we losing sight of the core purpose? Camp should be about chinuch and creating a Chassidishe environment, not just luxury amenities. I hope the educational aspects don’t get overshadowed.
While the idea is great, I’m skeptical about how ‘affordable’ $4,000 for the summer is for families with multiple kids. It feels like even with this initiative, the financial burden on parents is still heavy. Maybe they could address scholarship options more clearly.
