“Hi,
It’s Mary, Sherry’s mum.
I just want to let you know about something amazing that happened as a result of Friendship Circle Online.
Sherry has never really considered herself to have friends. As you know, Sherry’s birthday was Friday. Sherry’s dad bought her a Furling, Findley the dragon. This is an interactive toy, and she absolutely loves it!
Now for the AMAZING part, when I brought Sherry back to long term care, she said, ‘I can’t wait to show my friends at Friendship Circle.’
She looked at me and asked if I’d heard what she said. She was as surprised as I was.”
This is the message we received from a mom the other day.
It’s hard to imagine that an online space might be the first time Sherry had someone to call a friend.
Friendship Circle Online is a virtual hub for teens and adults with special needs, aiming to fill in the gaps, give everyone a space, and make sure everyone has someone to call their friend, whoever they are and wherever they live.
And now, we’re getting geared up for a virtual spring camp to drive that mission forward.
Do you know a teen or adult with special needs who would appreciate a fun filled week this spring, meet friends from all over, and participate in davening, crafts, games, spring themed science experiments, a talent show, and so much more?
Do you want to lend a hand and give a bit of your heart this spring as a volunteer?
Reach out to [email protected] or visit

Sherry will be at Spring Camp (Well, we changed her name for privacy purposes ;)) Be the reason Sherry can call someone a friend.
Join Sherry for an unforgettable spring experience.
Sign up and receive a camp t-shirt and supplies in the mail.
Don’t believe true friendship can happen through screens? We can prove it.
