A fire broke out in the newly purchased Central Chabad Yeshiva building on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire broke out in an apartment on the third floor of the building at 755 Eastern Parkway, which was recently purchased to expand the Yeshiva’s dormitory space for bochurim from Israel.
Bystanders said the fire was in an apartment which has not as yet undergone renovations. It is unclear how the fire started.
Firefighters arrived quickly and the street was closed to traffic.
Bochurim who were in the building were evacuated safely. The yeshiva is currently seeking other accommodations for some of the displaced residents.

But at least the photographer must have had fun capturing the areal photos by drone
