no you toast the angel hair raw but not too long o it gets too hard

raw or cooked angel hair spaghetti??
January 23, 2012 11:14 pm

I tried this, using raw toasted angel spaghetti; the pasta was not edible. Was I supposed to cook and drain the pasta first and then toast it?

We had a lot of sugar water left from pesach and we use it in all salads that need sugar… It makes it less grainy.

skip the sugar
January 23, 2012 12:12 pm

u can make this salad without the sugar it tastes just as good if u want some tang add a drop of mustard and if u feel ur missing the sweet taste honey is a better option

Love to be healthy

What about xylitol. We use it as a sugar substitute and it works wonderfully. It also has other health benifits.

we make this salad all the time – its one of those that gets finished every time, no leftovers. we also read bitayavon in johannesburg – its great to see such a nice publication kosher and it makes its way all the way to south africa. shkoyach!

Why compalin?

Just make your own alterations suitable for your family and diet. For me, I’ll try honey instead of white sugar. Need to keep our immune systems boosted for the winter season in Israel and honey is one of the best for that 🙂

an idea maybe:)

My husband and I are now on a specific diet. The dietician said sugar is fine in moderation. I personally don’t like sweetner, so i add craisins or raisins to this salad. Its a big hit at our shabbos tables.

nice

healthy salad, lots of greens, organic taste better, broccoli sprouts, cucumbers, small seedless, carrots grates with a peeler, extra virgin olive oil, lemon, himayamin fine salt(dr. fraiman, google it he’s frum with r.flammer kosher stamp, doesn’t raise the blood sugar),mix it up,yum sometimes l add cut up baked chicken cultet,in the salad, actually you could add anything with the salad, cooked brown rice or even baked salman fish

2 tsp sugar = 3/4 tsp Truvia {stevia powder – the prest brand,
without maltodextrin}. You can also just cut the amount of
sugar in half. Trust me , it’ll be just fine.

add a little

my daughter makes this and she adds peanut butter to give it a creamer taste.

successful salad!

if you dont like sugar, just omit it and this salad is very healthy. it is not behind the times to have some sugar; it is all about moderation. Use less or don’t use it at all.

Yum
