Members of Bais Shmuel Chabad in Crown Heights gathered for a farbrengen with Rabbi Levi Garelik to mark the Rebbe’s birthday on Yud Alef Nissan.
Rabbi Garelik spoke about other significant events which occurred on Yud Alef Nissan, and letters from the Rebbe.
The boys of Bais Shmuel Junior Congregation joined the Mitzvah Tank Parade, heading out for a day of successful Mivtzoim, sharing the joy of the upcoming Pesach holiday and the Rebbe’s message to fellow Jews.
The full day ended with a pizza lunch.
Bais Shmuel also assisted some 60 Crown Heights families with packages of food and other necessities, including financial assistance, to alleviate the expense of the Pesach holiday this year.
The funding, which totaled about $75,000, was made possible by Bais Shmuel Chabad and various donors.
Aside from food items, included were discounts at neighborhood businesses.
