Marking a break from the no-music season during Sefiras Haomer, the chassidic pop rock band 8th Day is releasing a new music video in honor of Lag BaOmer.
The new song “Celebrate,” by the brothers Shmuley and Bentzi Marcus, will be included in their highly anticipated new album “Inner Flame” due for release right after Shavuos 5775.
The video, produced and directed by Bentzi Marcus, was shot on location in a 6,000-square-foot studio in Downtown Los Angeles. As expected, it features their high energy performance and joy.
It was filmed by Yoni Oscherowitz of Timeline Memories.
“We’ve never done anything like this before in Jewish Music”, said Moshe Bree, the editor and special effects man for the video. “It was a challenge to edit because I was having so much fun just watching the footage!”
8th Day said in a statement: “Let the joy permeate as we break down all barriers together. May we merit the ultimate joy of the redemption speedily in our days! And finally, we ask you: Why wait to celebrate?!”

Can’t stop listening to that song!
1st verse of song had vocals that included a grinding/grating undertone sound which I found distracting; this came up briefly later in the song. But MOSTLY the vocals were great and didn’t have the grinding.
Love the use of real string instruments rather than digital keyboard versions of string instruments.
Once again 8th day has come out with an exciting and innovative video! Love you guys!

Is there an exact release date for the new album
I’m what some might call an 8th day enthusiast.
I have been following them around since the release of there song hassidic ramblers. So i don’t think anyone has the right to question my knowledge in regards to 8th day.
So to answer your question i have calculated some numbers to try and create a most accurate assumption as to weather they will be playing the above song at the concert in L.A.
And what i came up with might surprise you, It defiantly did surprise me. After all my calculations my most accurate assumption is WE DON’T KNOW.
