The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles (The Foundation) announced today it has awarded seven new Capital Grants totaling $200,000 to support construction and renovation projects at local Jewish museums, synagogues and educational institutions.
“In an economic environment in which nonprofit organizations are finding it more difficult to raise funds, we are pleased to announce our Capital Grants to key institutions that serve and educate members of the Los Angeles Jewish community, ranging from preschoolers to high school students, as well as members of the general public,” said Marvin I. Schotland, president and CEO of The Foundation.
One of the smaller grants was $25,000 awarded to Chabad of the Conejo, toward construction of a 7,000-square-foot building that will house classrooms, offices, a kitchen, library and chapel at Chabad Center for Jewish Life, headed by Rabbi Moshe Bryski. Rabbi Bryski will be delivering the keynote address at the Worldwide Kinus HaShluchim this month.
Boruch Hashem… now you have the permit and some cash to go along…. may it be a good start!

Is that really going to help redo a whole building? And these federations are always so proud of themselves. You have to act like they gave you a million dollars.
Good work Rabbi Bryski
You deserve it!
