The first grade class of Chabad of Ashkelon’s boys school, Ohr Menachem, escaped the stress of the current security situation with a trip to Jerusalem to celebrate receiving their first siddurim.
The boys and their families prayed shacharit at the Kotel, followed by a festive meal at the ‘770’ in Jerusalem. The boys surprised their parents by singing a series of songs dedicated to the importance of prayer, after having practiced their performance together in secret. Rabbi Kastenbaum, principle of Or Menachem, presented each boy with his own siddur.
