The Pocono Mountains are a popular summer vacation spot, and home to luxurious resorts, breathtaking views, and a plethora of outdoor sports and activities.
This summer, the Pocono Mountains had an amazing addition- a Yeshivas Kayitz program filled with learning, farbrenging and Bochurim having an enjoyable summer.
This Yeshivas Kayitz program is a part of Mesivta Tomchei Tmimim of Queens, directed by Rabbi Mendel Scharf with the help of his incredible staff.
Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim of Queens is in session year-round, including the summer – when they relocate to the Poconos for six weeks.
The program is run by the same staff, who teach there a whole year, enabling them to achieve their goal of enriching their Talmidim with a love and excitement for learning and Chassidishkeit. This was all done on spacious beautiful grounds, equipped with fields, pools, as well as courts for sports and outdoor activities.
Boruch Hashem, the success could be seen in their learning and davening; whether you would walk into the Zal or walk through the fields, you would see Bochurim sitting with a sefer engrossed in their learning. This summer 25 Talmidim finished the entire Mesechte Megilla by heart!
Even during sports and trips, their unique “eidelkiet” and chassidishkiet stood out. It was truly an inspiration to watch.
All in all, these Bochurim were able to refresh themselves in the relaxed atmosphere and grow in their learning and chassidishkiet.
