With sadness we inform you of the passing of Yeshoshua Hecht, a resident of Brooklyn, NY at the age of 44.
Yehoshua lived in Brooklyn and was a kind soul, always looking to make people happy by staying in touch and saying a joke. He saw the emes in every yid and even found the good in all people.
Yehoshua grew up on Shlichus and loved his family and especially appreciated frumkeit and Chasidishkeit of all types.
He fought diligently through a lifetime of illness while adhering to Torah and Mitzvos and hiskashrus to his very best.
He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, and “adopted” nieces and nephews of the families who he visited regularly.
He is survived by his father Rabbi Eli Hecht of Lomita, CA, his mother Raizy Schrieber of Monsey, NY, and siblings: Mendy Hecht – Monsey NY, Chanie Goldberg – Pomona, NY, Boruch Hecht – Morristown, NJ, Zalmy Hecht – Los Angeles, CA, and Yossi Hecht – Milwaukee, WI.
The levaya will take place today, Wednesday, leaving Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at 11:15 am and passing by 770 at 12 pm, burial at Old Montefiore Cemetery.
The family will be sitting Shiva at 4 Boxwood Lane, Monsey, NY.

I knew Shia from his youth. He was a lively boy. He ended up living near me and he would tell me jokes. Id always see him walking with ear phones listening to Torah classes etc.
He was a dear Neshama.
May his parents only have simchos.

Yehoshua was always nice to everyone and cared about everyone. When he came to Empire Shteeble he had a smile on his face. Everybody will miss you. Let everyone learn Mishnayos in his memory.
