Neshamos.org has officially launched its anonymous hotline. Anyone looking for guidance can contact the call center and will be directed to the proper help according to their needs.
Several months ago, Neshamos held a training wherein volunteers were taught how to handle incoming calls in a sensitive and reassuring yet effective manner. This service is free and completely confidential.
Since its soft launch a few weeks ago the call center has already directed hundreds of calls and many people have been set up with therapy, intervention and other services to address mental health.
“If you have been thinking about getting help in any way, we urge you to take the first step and call, to begin your process towards a healthier state of mind,” organizers said.
Neshamos.org is a Crown Heights based organization dedicated to creating a healthy inner life for our youth by providing the platform, resources, and education needed to empower us all to support our youth more effectively, transforming caring feelings into impactful actions, with inspired results.
Our team boasts over 100 years of combined experience in community wellness leadership. Always looking forward, Neshamos.org aims to create environments within our community that facilitate open communication and discussions for anyone going through a challenge and provide support and assistance to those dealing with stigma.
