He was known to learn Chasidus and daven at length – and also to farbreng. He was a person of realness.

Zeidy Rigler took an interest in my learning chassidus as a young post bar mitzvah boy and learned with me each shabbos morning for a few years in the front of 770. He gave me the feeling a young bochur needs that i’m able to learn chassidus and understand. I’m sure our learning helped give me some geshmak and interest in chassidus. He told me about the various fundamental maamorim, veyodaato, posach eliyahu torah ohr, etc. I thought of him recently and regret not picking up the phone to reconnect.
