Pfizer and the other vaccine manufacturers actually say that the vaccine does not prevent you from getting coronavirus, it only reduces symptoms. .
we need moshiach when the truth will be clear and many of us will not have to be afraid to speak anynore

Great idea!

That’s right! If you’re vaccinated, and get covid, then you’re much less likely to be very sick or die!
Seems like a good step, considering what we here in CH witnessed last year!!

That's good enuf

Can’t reducing symptoms save lives. If the virus can pass through without damage,Then who cares

“ONLY” reduces symptoms??? ONLY??

Only means you won’t die. Only means that you probably won’t be a long-hauler. Only means that you’ll stay home with mild symptoms instead of being hospitalized. Only means that you get to live, and enjoy your life and family, even if you get mildly sick!
So stop this nonsense of dismissing the vaccine!!!!!!!!

Actually, here’s Pfizer’s press release from Mar 11 coupled with Israeli data—indicating a 94% efficacy against asymptomatic infection: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210311005482/en/

Using Pfizer’s comments from Dec is typical anti-vaxxer intellectual dishonesty, as they didn’t have data then vis a vis transmission—the trials were meant to show efficacy against death/hospitalization/symptomatic illness. Therefore, they cautiously said that there’s no data re: asymptomatic infection.

Now, there is data.

At least it reduces symptoms!
Personally, I prefer to have a small cough than to be on a respirator.

But what about fertility?
March 23, 2021 12:30 pm

Can someone in the medical field confirm whether or not these vaccines will affect fertility in young people?

There is a question

These vaccines have not been studied long enough to know the long term results as far as effacy, safety and on fertility. They 1st started vaccinations in december, less than 6 months ago. Other vaccines are tested for years before being released to the public

Testing since last year

Trial studies were begun in May and June already.

Fertility

I am a medical provider. There is ZERO evidence to suggest that COVID vaccines affects fertility. It was purely a rumor propagated by anti-vaxxers based on a weak theory that has been entirely debunked. What we do know for certain is that contracting COVID can affect fertility!

Common questionCan COVID-19 vaccine cause fertility problems?

There is currently no evidence that any vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines, cause fertility problems. CDC does not recommend routine pregnancy testing before COVID-19 vaccination. If you are trying to become pregnant, you do not need to avoid pregnancy after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine”

What are the recommendations for pregnant women?

Safe during pregnancy

I live in Israel where it is being highly recommended to vaccinate pregnant women. There are countless pregnant women in critical condition here due to the British COVID mutation. Several pregnant women have died, as well as women newly postpartum. It is safe to take at any point during pregnancy.

Even if ”Pfizer and other vaccine manufacturers actually say that the vaccine does not prevent you from getting coronavirus, it only reduces symptoms”, do it for another Jew who’s scared to leave his home because of the virus. Do it for those who died, do it for those in the ICU, we need to be done with this. Doctors know best, rabbanim know best, who are you t ogive your opinions?

Stop telling everyone to vaccinate
March 23, 2021 6:55 pm

They tell EVERYONE to vaccinate yet they don’t tell you how many people have actually died from this vaccine or how its actually not good for some people to get this vaccine. Stop telling everyone to vaccinate. Each person should do his research if its good for themselves and their families.

NOT FDA APPROVED

The vaccine only got emergency authorization, not FDA approval. You also cant sue for vaccine adverse effects. There has been severe reactions in some cases
You must discuss this vaccine with your doctor. Not for everyone

You can read the data on the vaccine trials. That is not privileged info. Come back and explain your opinion after you read up.

Normally a vaccine is tested many years. Such a short period of time of a few months to decide a vaccine is safe and effective is risky. You need to know long term if the vaccine is safe and effective. A few months instead of years is not the same. There has never been a safe and effective mrna vaccine. Not saying this isnt safe or effective, just saying you need more time to know the truth

It probably wont make a difference to most people in crown heights (because there are no rules for Covid-19 there) but where people do keep the rules, we want to get our lives back to normal asap and the only way the government will do that is by having herd immunity etc.

MRNA has been studied for use in humans since 2012. mRNA has been studied since the 1990’s at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Pennsylvania. It was made stable for use in humans by researchers at Harvard and Cambridge in 2005. On Jan. 10, 2020, Chinese scientists posted online the virus’s genetic sequence, and by February 24, the Pharmaceutical companies had duplicated the relevant gene info into the mRNA. On that day, Moderna delivered several hundred doses to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for testing. Over the past thirteen months, the vaccines have been rigorously tested… Read more »

“Do your own research” is fine but it should include asking your Rov who may advise you to ask your local medical expert.

“They tell EVERYONE to vaccinate yet they don’t tell you how many people have actually died from this vaccine…” False. Reactions to the vaccine are being very closely tracked and monitored. After half a billion people worldwide, and more than half of the entire population of Israel, have been vaccinated, there has not been documented a single case of death from the vaccine. (While there have been deaths among people who have received the vaccine, none of these deaths were attributable to the vaccine. And the statistics show that the number of deaths from various other or unkown sources among… Read more »

Happy to say I recieved the vaccine. Try to put this in perspective, the risk vs. benefit, and talk to your doctor to get good info. You (most ppl) trust your doctor when you need help with all kinds of medical issues, why not now? Not saying to follow blindly- talk to more than one dr. Ask many questions, read up from reputable sources. If you don’t know where to find reputable sources, find people who can give you ideas of where to look and how to evaluate if a source is trustworthy and how to analyze data. While I… Read more »
