Everyone knows that poverty in Israel is something incomparable to that of the United States. Unfortunately, with poverty comes the horrific reality of eviction. But the Israeli government still hasn’t done much to prevent the prevalent issue of frum homelessness.
Tova Rothman is a mother of 13 in Israel whose husband hasn’t been capable of working ever since he had a heart attack. Although she works, it is simply not enough to keep her family afloat. Several days ago, officials burst into their home. Tova begged them not to throw her and her children onto the streets, explaining that they have nowhere to go. The officials gave the family one more week to come up with the money.
Frum organizations are stepping in to save the Rothman family who only have one week left. For more information, click here.
