Please address what efforts are being made about the MICA shelter coming to our town ?
The CHJCC led by Acting Chairman Shumel Rosenstein has stood up for the community by requesting the City Council Oversight Committee clarify whether this project needs to have a City Council Public Hearing(s) and then be approved by the entire City Council. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/grkp660f3sf3s0957vd5u/CHJCC-Stands-with-E-Flatbush.pdf?rlkey=06fckgqxjxx0dlir4kbqtuwyy&dl=0 Unfortunately, those with the real power, the CH PACs and their friends who donate, have been silent which gives a green light to Gov Hochul and NYS AG Letitia James not to make changes. NYS Assemb Brian Cunningham did not push the Governor because the CH PACs did not push Cunningham. Gov Hochul made massive revisions to… Read more »
Please update Lefferts Park with safer play areas and little and big kids swings!!
So so important!
If you want to get an update and request improvements for your park you need to call the NYC Council Member whose jurisdiction the park falls under which is Council Member Rita Joseph https://council.nyc.gov/district-40/ . You can call and voice your request, email her staff https://council.nyc.gov/rita-joseph/staff-directory/ or write a letter. All are effective. Its the NYC Council Member who has the funds to make improvements so anyone who is interested may call, write, or email and the more communications they get the better.

Let’s remember the Va’ad Hakahl members are VOLUNTEERS.
They don’t owe anyone anything.
Let’s thank them for what they did, for they do and for what they plan on doing.
But they stepped up to volunteer and were voted in by our power to vote. It’s a two way street.
The CHJCC stopped the bike lanes,
if they’re making a town hall meeting and you genuinely care about matters, here’s not the place to air your hope, question or gripe. it’s at the event. they show up by volunteering or holding the official position. you show up by saying what you want to say to them. but if you don’t even do that, do you really think you’re doing at least as much as them to better the sitch?
I voted, I encouraged others to vote for them as well. They volunteered and I support them in any way I can. Maybe I cant physically show up but I do my part. I emailed EVERY person on board 9 and councilman etc MORE THAN ONCE about the shelters. I spent hours at board meetings. I am not complaining about them just asking them to address this matter as well.
Will the event be live-streamed or recorded so we can watch afterwards?
has kingsbrook been addressed?
