Members of the Chabad community living in the Shikun Chabad neighborhood of Lod discovered over the past week that wallets had been going missing in the men’s mikvah adjacent to the Beit Aryeh shul.
The incidents first came to light after one of the regular mikvah-goers shared a message in local community groups, reporting that personal items had been stolen from his pants pockets while he was toiveling.
The following day, another resident reported a similar theft.
Additional community members said they noticed a suspicious individual entering and exiting the mikvah area, apparently rummaging through clothing.
After several mornings in which wallets and cash were stolen, the suspect ultimately made a critical mistake. He used a stolen credit card belonging to a Lubavitcher resident at a local business. The card’s owner followed the transaction trail to the store, where he obtained security camera footage of the suspect and shared it with the police.
A formal complaint was subsequently filed with the Lod police, who stated that the matter is under investigation.
Menachem, a neighborhood resident whose credit card was stolen, said that he hopes the suspect will be apprehended and removed from the area, restoring a sense of safety and trust within the community.

Why is his face blurred if he is a thief
Why is face blurred?
Not too helpful
why not publicize the name and photo?
shouldn’t people be warned about this person?
and wouldn’t it be a deterant?
