Lubavitch Shul in the Park and Westacres Care Home of Glasgow, Scotland held a very succesful Charity Car Wash Sunday at Westacres Care Home.
The charity event was organised by Newark Care Chaplain and Lubavitch Outreach Director Rabbi Mendel Jacobs.
The car washing was done by many of the local youth as well as staff from Westacres Care Home and Rabbi Mendel Jacobs.
“We were extremly pleased with the response,” said Rabbi Jacobs. “This is the second event of at least ten planned events to mark the 10th birthday of Shul in the Park which begins this month.”
Many of the residents were able to sit outside, enjoying the warm weather, and watch the car washing take place. Many of the boys and men put on Tefillin. The money raised will go towards Shul in the Park and Westacres Care Home.
