Vice President Joe Biden addressed over 100 Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim and supporters Thursday.
His remarks included strong statements about his commitment to Israel and the Jewish people.
“The world is lacking and is in desperate in need of Chabad: Wisdom, understanding and knowledge,” the Vice President said, referring to the acronym of Chabad in Hebrew.
In reference to the Holocaust and the promise “Never again,” Biden said: “We need to nail down Israel’s security because it can happen again.”
As he entered the room, the Delaware native walked off the stage to embrace his friend from Philadelphia, Rabbi Avrohom Shemtov, the Rebbe’s Shliach to the White House and Chairman of the umbrella Agudas Chassidei Chabad International.
“You’re one of the good guys,” the Vice President said in one of many references to the senior Chabad rabbi who taught him about the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory.
Glad to see Rabbi Zucker attended.A good mix of Rabbis.
Such negativity in comments is not the jewish way. He has done a good thing in front of the world. He is a supporter. Wonderful.
Nice seeing you dad. Very proud of the work you are doing.
Your Son,

It was an absolutely incredible conference. and amazing work from shluchim rabbi levi and nechama shemtov to pull such an amazing thing off. keep up the great work.
Don’t get so excited.
It’s an election year and the president needs to raise his ratings to keep the house and senate.
It is interesting to note that the administration considers Chabad influential enough to use them, but remember their policies and not the sweet talk.
Hi Rabbi Hirshy Zarchi
A great end to a fabulously succesful and very well
attended conference. Bh a HUGE kiddish Hashem.
On behalf of those of us that attended and were
majorely impressed, thank you
this is one of the most significant gatherings in the history of Lubavitch…look at the turnout…awesome…
Just because he knew who his crowd was and knew what to say to them? No thank you! He is the last one that I would vote for after Obama.
zaidy keep up the great work!!!! and uncle levi 🙂
i thought he hated the jews…
Dont forget that hes a politician, the very fact that he has the job means that he does things just for the good impression.
and its amazing to see the work that rabbi levy and nechama shemtov do in whaington dc they definatley are such devoted and deticated shluchum theres no doubt that they are by far the right people to represent Chabad Wahington
may they continue machayil el choyil in all they do.
amazing!!
Wow, I’m sure the Rebbe would be proud of this publicity. Yiddushkeit is really thriving…WHo would ever think that 100 chabad shluchim wuld be invited to the white house, just like that???
