Rabbi Mendel Vechter, veteran Mashpia from Kiryat Malachi, Israel, was the special guest at a Farbrengen to mark the auspicious day of Hei Teves in Crown Heights.
The farbrengen, organized by Bais Shmuel Chabad, was attended by Jews of all types from many areas of Brooklyn.
Rabbi Vechter spoke about the significance of the day of Hei Teves, and the importance of spreading and learning Chassidus. He encouraged participants to learn Chassidus, and work to spread the teachings of Chassidus as much as possible.
He told how he has begun making webcasts of his Shiurim, something which he never thought he would do, resulting in thousands of followers to his classes.
Rabbi Vechter encouraged participants that if they feel they have anything of value to share, they must record it and share with others – you never know who can be affected.
Participants were inspired by the farbrengen which went late into the night.
