Anshei Lubavitch, Crown Heights’ most vibrant shul, hosted a special evening celebrating the release of Undaunted, the new biography by Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie that explores the life and leadership of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe.
During the event, historian Dovid Margolin interviewed Rabbi Eliezrie in a wide-ranging conversation about the Rebbe’s courage under the Communist regime, the rebirth of Jewish life after the Holocaust, and the foundations of Chabad’s global growth. It is the first comprehensive biography of the Frierdiker Rebbe ever published.
Rabbi Zalman Friedman, who organized the event, noted, “following the tradition of being a dynamic center of the local anash community it was an honor to host the book launch for this important new book at Anshei Lubavitch. The shul has created an inspiring atmosphere of learning and connection. The program was broadcast live on COLlive.com and Chabad.org, reaching audiences around the world. The book is available in stores and on Amazon.
