A Siyum and Hachnosas Sefer Torah will be held this Sunday in memory of the legendary eltere Chossid R’ Meir Itkin obm and his Rebbetzin, Mrs. Sima Itkin obm.
R’ Meir was legendary in 770 and was often called upon by the Rebbe to help out Shluchim and Anash from the world over.
This Sefer Torah is also in honor of two Shluchim who have been taken too soon, R’ Meir’s sons R’ Zalman Itkin obm, Hamilton Ontario and R’ Mendel Itkin obm, Sydney Australia.
The Itkin family would like to invite the community to join the festivities.
The Torah will be completed in the Teichtel home, 405 Crown Street at 11 a.m.
The procession to 770 will begin at 1:00 p.m.

the Itkin house was like Avrohom Avinu Tent, open to the whole world….sleeping place, Kiddush before the farbrengen , Seudas Shabbos after, always with a smile, i believe that half the time they never locked their door, even in the days when Crown Heights was really not a safe place.
yes and their sons were always the welcoming committee, giving up their beds and rooms.
this is not an exaggeration ,they are truly missed and I am not even a family!!!!
