A tremendous innovation was discussed at recent meeting with Hanhala of Yeshivos in Israel and the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, which is being introduced for Bochurim spending this coming Tishrei by the Rebbe.
For the thousands of Bochurim that will soon be converging from around the world to spend the holy month of Tishrei in the Rebbe’s court, a five-star program awaits.
Gone are the days when a guest would need to fight and push for a meal, a place to sleep, or a small spot to sit and learn. The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim’s Hachnosas Orchim program takes care not only of their food, drink, and comfortable lodging, but a full suite of sedorim, learning curriculums, farbrengens, buses to the ohel and special events are organized for them as well.
In an exciting new development for Tishrei 5779, the Vaad is opening registration with a brand new website where each Bochur or parent can sign up in an organized way for these vital services.
Most notably, it includes an innovative new system for supervision and marking attendance that will send daily reports to their parents back home.
“It used to keep me up at night thinking if my sons are ok during their trip to New York,” commented one parent about the new system. “Knowing that our son will be cared for and is doing the right thing when he goes to the Rebbe is such a positive step forward, and so necessary for our boys.”
At a recent meeting of Hanhala of Yeshivos in Israel and the Vaad, many Roshei Yeshivos and Mashpi’im expressed how impressive the Vaad’s Tishrei operation has become, and discussed new ideas and initiatives how to continue to improve.
“Most Bochurim want to do the right thing,” said Rabbi Tzvi Altein, director of the Vaad, “but the chaos that there used to be proved a huge distraction and an unnecessary temptation. The structure that the Vaad puts in place, and the services we provide both Gashmiyus and Ruchniyus, have been a game changer for both the Bochurim guests as well as the entire scene of Tishrei by the Rebbe.”
With a large team working around the clock to put the final touches in place, Bochurim as well as anash can look forward to exciting programs, new publications, and special guest lectures and Farbrengens that are in store for this Tishrei.
Complain and organize all you want – bottom line is where the money is. Most bochurim wouldn’t come if Drizin wouldn’t sponsor their tickets and Rubashkin wouldn’t offer free food for a month and lodging for many. What the heck?! In the name of “being with the Rebbe”….. Stay in Yeshiva for the month, learn on the days that aren’t Y”T, and shorten the daily z’man round the year by an hour – everyone including the bochurim will be better off. Tefillah in 770 is beautiful R”H and Y”K – but there’s no mitzvah to “hang out” in CH, NYC,… Read more »
Sounds like a good idea. Why do Bochurim who are supposed to be learning in 770, hang out on Kingston Avenue, harrassing passers-by for tzedakah all day long during Aseres Yemay Teshuva? To pay their plane fare??
Is organizing for the girls
Why isnt anything being done for the girls?
Have much success. Just do NOT serve any of these boys VODKA !!!!!! That’s the root of the problem !!!!!
Where can I register? It’s almost Tishrei
Can’t wait to see for myself, how this “new program” works out.
I do wish you luck.
But unfortunately, the people of crown heights and I, have seen and been subjected to the rude and disrespectful behavior from ” our guests ” who come here to be with ” the holy Rebbe”.
Perhaps you should out in a clause, that any misbehavior gets them a ride to the airport, asap!
(Prefer not on yom tov or Shabbat, but right after)
It’s about time to move back the embassy of chabad to 770 and proclaim that 770 belongs to the rebbe- ignoring the Palestinians there
Last year their was a amazing program for English speaking bochurim a place to stay, meals, farbrengens, Do I have to sign my children up via the Vaad’s website or will it work like last year through the Shluchim in his Yeshiva
The Rebbe is with us so many guests
Well said, it’s really ridiculous and no one says a thing.
They literally do whatever they want. When I was a bochur in 1414 a few years ago on second day yom tov of sukkos there was a whole group of tishrei orchim seating in the hallway on their cell phones. One of my fiends ask them what they were doing and they said their from Israel so they only have to keep one day.
To #3. So true. I’m not going to point the finger at any one group, but there’s more and more each year who are rowdy, rude and disrespectful who should be immediately put on a bus or train or plane………..any form of transportation to get them back home.
Well that’s a big relief for the residents!!
Something has to change during Tishrei In crown heights. Israelis come unsupervised, and cause chaos. It gets worse every single year. #BuildAWall
…even though I have no boys going there! Yasher Koach for keeping the Bochurim safe B’Gashmius U’V’Ruchnius!
Excellent keep up the good work and I’m looking forward Vaad Hatmimim I wish you all the best and good luck 🙂
