In preparation of the annual Soul II Soul concert, benefitting Jewish education for children with special needs, Crown Heights shuls are uniting for Shabbos Soul II Soul.
Participating shuls will share a message of inclusion this Shabbos as well as remind their respective kehillos of the upcoming Soul II Soul concert and its vital work for children with special needs.
The Besht, Bais Gimpel, Ohel Nosson, Merkaz Sephard, The Shul and Bais Shmuel are just some of the shuls that are part of this special Shabbos.
“Hopefully this message will last throughout the year,” says Tzirl Goldman, director of Chasdei Soul II Soul the organization behind the Soul II Soul concert. “Our community has come a long way in recognizing people with disabilities or challenging situations. Shabbos Soul II Soul will foster acceptance and unity amongst everyone in our community.”
Chasdei Soul II Soul would like to thank Rabbi Leizer Avtzon for facilitating this project as well as Rabbi Sholly Weiser of Yaldei Shluchei and Rabbi Menachem Klein and Rabbi Eli Block of JLI.
Chasdei Soul II Soul is also gearing up for their annual benefit concert on March 4 headlined by music superstar Mordechai Ben David at the George Wingate Auditorium in Brooklyn, NY. Tickets at jewishtickets.com
